Bluedog Protective Coatings – Floors – Bluedog Protective Coatings® FLOOR has been specially formulated to protect a wide variety of floor coverings, including timber flooring and concrete, as well as sealed marble, ceramic, porcelain, flagstone, quarry, terracotta, agglomerate, and terrazzo tiles.
Our coatings adhere to the flooring surface to protect floors from damage during building and renovation projects.
Because Bluedog flooring protection can be used on various surfaces, it helps avoid expensive renovation mishaps from building debris, such as nails, screws, dropped tools, concrete splashes (during pouring), metal shavings, grout, and paint spills.
Flooring Recommendations:
• Floor Tiles (including sealed marble, ceramic, porcelain, flagstone, quarry, Mexican/terracotta, agglomerate, terrazzo): Grout joints must be cured prior to application.
• Timber Flooring – Polished durability class 1, 2, and 3. Durability class 4 may also be coated, but the wood must be fully sealed, lacquered, and cured prior to application. The floor sealer must be cured before applying Blue Dog Protective Coatings® FLOOR. This curing process may take several weeks for the carrier solvents from the floorboard coating to evaporate.
• Concrete (internal) – Cured and un-pitted concrete (e.g., garage floors).
• Polished Concrete and Epoxy Coated Flooring Surfaces – Ensure the sealer is cured prior to application of Blue Dog Protective Coatings® FLOOR.
• Other Surfaces – We strongly recommend testing a small amount of our product in a discrete area before beginning your full flooring project to ensure there is no residue from the coatings.
Bluedog Protective Coatings® FLOOR is NOT RECOMMENDED for unsealed or porous substrates.
