Bluedog Protective Coatings is a family owned company, based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Back in 2001 our family formulated a unique range of temporary surface coatings which remain proudly MADE IN AUSTRALIA.

All of our protective coatings are water based and certified as non hazardous making them safe to use and friendly for our environment. This initial sustainable focus is just one of the reasons Australia’s largest and most successful building and construction companies have been using our surface protection products for many, many years.

Our business prides itself in helping our long-term partners SAVE TIME, SAVE MONEY and AVOID STRESS by avoiding replacement or repairing  valuable surfaces in and around homes.

In 2020, our family business experienced unprecedented increase in demand for our range of temporary surface protection products, specifically within the DIY & home renovation market.

Accordingly, our Bluedog Protective Coatings division was born to allow DIY & Home Renovators to access our Australian Made, safe, environmentally responsible temporary surface protection products. Up until then only professional builders had access to the coatings. For decades they have used these to avoid expensive repair or replacement of damaged surfaces during home builds. Our family estimate our range of “roll on, peel off” temporary coatings have easily saved millions of dollars in replacement & or repair costs over the past 20 years.

Separate to the monetary saving, our coatings have also dramatically reduced the frustration which happens when unexpected damages to surfaces cause major delays to schedules. We like to think of our coatings as “liquid insurance” against accidents and extra unplanned DIY / Home renovation budget expenses.
